Why UV-B

Across the State of West Virginia, communities are monitoring the heightened levels of ultraviolet rays. Since the levels of chemicals that destroy the ozone layer will reach an all-time high in the next 2 years, the subsequent increase of ultraviolet rays is of interest to the public health.

 About the Project

This project is a statewide HSTA collaboration between high school students, teachers, biomedical experts, and science educators. Students record daily UV-B readings and create a database.
