Exercise Physiology is the identification of physiological mechanisms underlying these principals:
Physical fitness and physical activity are commonly confused. Physical activity is one of the requirements for being healthy. Being physically active doesn't mean running long distances or lifting heavy weights, but instead, doing activities, such as walking your dog or taking a swim, that require you to use your body. Being physically fit is when a person can jog a mile, or lift a few sets. People who are physically fit work frequently on keeping their body in shape and they also know that it is important to remain active, eat right, and make healthy decisions.
