Day Five

Students will need pencil and notebooks for this field trip

Hospital Field Trip:

50 minutes

Activities:

Prepare students by discussing the types of tests used to diagnose heart disease. Many of these they found when doing their research on heart disease.

Students will take notes while touring the hospital and seeing the many components that make up a working hospital.

Students will see an EKG ECG and a stress test performed.

Students will see how these tests indicate heart problems.

Students will view a normal EKG and an abnormal EKG to visually compare.

Students will write a journal entry on their field trip experience.

Day five covers careers, anatomy and physiology, writing skills and data gathering.
