HSTA Neuroscience Teleconference

November 4th, 2005

On Friday, November 4th, the HSTA program offered a teleconference for HSTA students on “Recent Advances in Understanding the Brain”. HSTA students were invited to come hear about the latest discoveries on brain signals, neurons, and how humans learn. Dr George Spirou, Director of Interdisciplinary Center for Neuroscience at West Virginia University School of Medicine was the Guest Speaker.

The Neuroscience Teleconference was very informational. The conference not only involved some hands-on interaction, but it also helped students to engage in a question / answer period. In addition, the speakers touched on how young people can enhance their brain development.

This Teleconference event was a great way to interact with scientists at West Virginia University. We hope you benifitted from it.
