Our Projects to Increase Physical Activity Opportunities in West Virginia Communities

HSTA Education and Outreach on Healthy Weight and Physical Activity

The first six research projects emerged from proposals prepared by HSTA teachers/clubs to increase physical activity in specific target audiences within WV communities. The seventh project in which pedometers are being utilized to increase physical activity in WV students emerged from the 2003 HSTA Summer Institute. The eighth project engages HSTA teachers in using pedometers to provide science and math enrichment.
