Purpose:

In this investigation the student will be comparing the similarities of potato skin to human skin and observing the effectiveness of sunscreen.

Materials:

UV radiation emitting lamp OR a clear, sunny day; thumb tacks or dissection pins; scalpel; blocks of wood (4in x 4in); several potatoes; several different sunscreens of varying brands and SPF's; goggles
