If a basketball were the size of the earth, then what size would the cell and its' organelles be in comparison. Have student figure relationship between the basketball, humans, bacterial cell, human cell, mitochondria, and other organelles.
Embedded Assessment: Have students give presentations to class on the relative sizes of their items.
