Students may want to extend their units and put their knowledge to good use by doing one of the following:
Organize a school day for "A Healthy Heart" They may adapt their knowledge and present it to the elementary students and then hold a field day or- Use the AHA program- Just Jump. And raise awareness of CVD while raising money for the American Heart Association.
Students may want to build a Power Point Presentation about their findings and activities to post on the web or to present to others.
Design a pamphlet that details the information on heart disease in their specific area and simple life style changes that decrease the chances of heart disease and distribute the same.
Students may want to invite other experts into the classroom for information ie-a nutritionist, an exercise physiologist etc.
