Other School's Research Projects
Everyone who is involved with HSTA will have to do a
research project. Different HSTA groups will work on different projects.
Like for instance, Calhoun County is doing a community service project this year. They are volunteerting at their Local Senior Citizen Assisted Care Home. They are also doing research in geriatrics to find out how senior citizens are treated in our society if they need assistance.
George Washington High School is currently studying blood pressure according to their webpage. They are trying to increase teenager awareness about their current habits leading to high blood pressure in the future. They have discovered many interesting facts.
North Marion Highschool has recently done a
research projects about four-wheeler safety. They wanted to investigate how
much of a problem four wheeler safety is in their area and in the state. They
are working with a representative from the State Police to design a safety
awareness campaign. Their goal is to decrease the number of accidents in the
area and to educate
people about four wheeler DO's and Don'ts!
