Community Service Activities

Students at Riverside Warrior HSTA were involved in the Paint Creek Watershed Project. Several students, as a project, worked with the Paint Creek Watershed last year to become certified stream testers. The DNR provided training on a Saturday and the students who attended learned to recognize which insects to use in judging the health of a stream. Those students who became certified can now submit legal data not only for Paint Creek, but for any other stream in the State of WV. This was an interesting community service project.
