Mission Statement
"The Health Sciences and Technology Academy (HSTA) is an 8th 12th grade math and science program which encourages aspirations, opens doors and empowers minority and (African American) and disadvantaged students and rural communities."
The hope of HSTA is to increase the number of African American and
underrepresented high school students in West Virginia that pursue post-secondary
education in the health sciences and to increase the number of health practitioners in
the medically under served communities of West Virginia.
HSTA is currently funded by a Science Education Partnership Award RR
