Greetings!
For the second year the WVU Foundation has been chosen by the Walmart Foundation as one of five West Virginia nonprofits to participate in the Walmart Associate Choice Program. The associates of Walmart and Sam's Club will vote for the nonprofit to receive the $100,000 Associate Choice Award. Voting for the Associate's Choice is June 18, 2011 through August 6, 2011.
WVU Children's Hospital, WVU School of Dentistry, WVU Extension's Energy Express, WVU Health Sciences & Technology Academy, and Student Affairs' The Rack (a more recent addition of a WVU student-run campus food bank) are affiliates under the participation of the WVUF. Please help your colleagues, associates, and friends in the WVU Community by informing Walmart and Sam's Clubs Associates' friends and family that the WVUF serves these identified organizations and affiliates.

April & May is Science Symposium months. Students showcase their science projects to the HSTA families. Schedule attached

Mitchell is a first-generation West Virginia college student. But with backing gained through the Health Sciences and Technology Academy – a high school program founded at WVU to help students prepare for careers in health and science – she was able to earn two WVU degrees and launch a career at the Pittsburg-based Center for Organ Recovery and Education.
